A wide range of diseases, from influenza to meningitis, urinary tract infections, hepatitis, diarrhea, food poisoning and parasitic diseases, fall within the scope of infectious diseases. In addition, differentiation and evaluation of non-infectious diseases with high fever and referral of patients to the relevant departments are also among the tasks of the infectious diseases unit.
The Infectious Diseases Unit also carries out the necessary work to control, monitor and minimize nosocomial infections and provides training to patients, their relatives and relevant personnel. Conscious, appropriate and effective use of antibiotics has a special place in infection control efforts.
